The 17-story Caribé is uniquely configured. Because it has no cumbersome wings, it was set back from the beach at an angle. A1A provides very convenient access from the west while the northern boundary looks out on a quiet street in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. With exterior balconies instead of internal hallways, all units are spacious and enjoy multiple exposures. The front window (and balcony) overlook the swimming pool, the beach, and the boats and sails traversing an ocean composed of ever-changing colors. This configuration affords the 150 units multiple exposures to the South Florida breezes. There are 120 one bedroom, one bath units. They are located on either side of the central elevators in groups of four. At the ends of every floor are 2 bedroom, 2 bath units with additional views from their side windows.
There is a security guard at the front desk 24/7. Management and maintenance employees are cheerful and helpful. Facilities include a pleasant lobby, a large recreation room, exercise room, bar-b-que, swimming pool, private beach, and more than adequate parking.
